| After-school English classes complement and extend children's English studies at school and help them progress much faster. What's more, if the teacher is a native English speaker the children will develop correct pronunciation and will quickly become accustomed to understanding natural spoken English. Cambridge School was founded in Granollers in 1984 and has since grown into by far the largest group of language schools in the Vallès Oriental. Cambridge School's success is built on an excellent reputation for quality teaching and service. Cambridge School is already running successful after-school programmes for AMPAs in primary schools in the Vallès including AMPA CEIP Joan Sampere (Las Franqueses), AMPA CEIP Mestre Munguet Cortes (Vilanova del Vallès), AMPA CEIP Pilar Mestre (La Roca del Vallès), AMPA CEIP Mestres Muntanya (Granollers), AMPA CEIP El Farell (Caldes de Montbui) and AMPA CEIP Dolors Granés (Cardedeu). The Director, Director of Studies and Head of Young Learners and all our teachers are fully qualified native teachers. All have received specialized training in English language teaching. Our classes have clear, serious objectives at the same time as being fun and motivating for the children. Our guarantees for AMPAs All our teachers, without exception, are native English speakers and also fully qualified as teachers of English as a foreign language. All the after-school courses follow the same rigorous programmes used in the academy, guaranteeing that each is equivalent to full school year of English. Students from 8 years old upwards do regular exams, tests and assessed written work to evaluate their progress. Students from 8 upwards have weekly homework tasks to consolidate their knowledge of the language. Parents are kept informed of their child's progress and conduct through a termly written report and two programmed face-to-face parent-teacher meetings each year. Teachers start and finish the classes on time. Cambridge School has a standby teacher system so that no class is ever cancelled when a teacher is ill or indisposed. |
