What is the DELTA?

What is the DELTA The Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) is an internationally recognised qualification awarded by the University of Cambridge (Cambridge ESOL) and is aimed at teachers who have at least two years? full-time experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language.

What is the new modular DELTA?

The contents of the new DELTA course (introduced in September 2008) are very similar to the original DELTA but Cambridge ESOL has divided the DELTA syllabus into three separate modules. Teachers no longer have to study for and pass the whole DELTA course in order to be awarded the diploma. Instead, teachers can choose how many and which modules they wish to study for. There is a separate diploma for each module. Teachers who want to study for all three modules can do so over a more extended period of time than before.

Why should I do the DELTA?
