THE TEACHERS

Our teachers are all carefully selected to ensure that they are able to reach the high standards demanded by the Cambridge School centres. They are all qualified professionals. The teachers of English and most of the teachers of other languages are native speakers of the language they teach.
All teachers of English have the University of Cambridge (ESOL Examinations) 'Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)' or an equivalent qualification. The CELTA is probably the most well-known qualification for teachers of English in the world. Because of our excellent reputation in Catalonia, we are able to select teachers who were awarded above-average passes on the CELTA course. Many of our teachers also have the University of Cambridge (ESOL Examinations) 'Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults' (DELTA), which is a very prestigious qualification, usually taken by teachers in their 5 th year of teaching. Many of our teachers are also qualified teachers of young learners.
We prefer to employ teachers who are dynamic, creative, friendly and hard-working.
Our teachers have to attend weekly seminars designed to keep them up-to-date with latest developments. In addition, they have to attend regular lesson-planning meetings with other teachers which are designed to ensure that lessons are always useful, varied and interesting. Teachers are also observed regularly by senior teachers and observe each other's lessons. All this is all part of the ongoing process of teacher-development.
Many of our teachers are also teacher trainers, running courses here at Cambridge School and in other schools in Catalonia. They also regularly contribute articles to teaching magazines and give seminars in other schools and at conferences all over Spain.
Because of all this, students can be sure of top quality teaching by dedicated professionals in all of our schools.
